Open all through the summer season between July 1 (Tue.) and September 10 (Wed.).

Meguro Citizens Center Swimming Pool

Facility:50-meter outdoor pool, Wading pool
25-meter indoor pool (will be closed from July 1 to 10 due to cleaning)

Admission restrictions:

  1. Second-graders and younger (after 6:30 p.m.: elementary school children and younger) must be accompanied by an adult.
  2. Small children using the wading pool must be accompanied by someone who is a junior high school student or older. (The admission charge for adults accompanying small children is free for one adult and ¥100 for each additional accompanying adult.)
  3. Children under 3 years of age are not permitted in the indoor pool.
  4. Depending on the weather conditions, the outdoor pool may be closed.

  2. The wading pool is available only for second-graders of elementary school and younger. The admission charge for adults accompanying children is free for one adult and ¥100 for each additional accompanying adult.

*You need to pay additional fees if using pools for two hours or more.
*Last admission is half an hour before closing.


Proper and Comfortable Usage of Swimming Pools

Please take precautions to prevent infectious disease and the following rules to prevent accidents when using swimming pools

- Refrain from swimming if you have symptoms of illness such as a fever or diarrhea, if you are suffering from a lack of sleep, or if you have consumed alcoholic beverages.
- Use a toilet before entering pool areas.
- Before entering pool areas, be sure to shower thoroughly to wash off all cosmetics and hair dressing.
- Loosen up your muscles with preparatory exercises before swimming.
- Don't blow your nose or spit in pools.
- Be sure to take a break once in a while.
- After swimming, be sure to rinse your eyes, gargle, and shower thoroughly.
- Don't share towels with family or friends.

The Public Health Centers provide instructions and advice concerning the proper chlorination and maintenance of water quality, to enable people to enjoy using pools safely.

Precautionary Notes

- Children who are under 3 years of age and small babies who need a diaper are permitted only in the wading pool of Meguro Citizens Center.
- Be sure to wear a swimming cap when using indoor pools.
- Pools may be closed due to inclement weather or for maintenance reasons.
- You are not allowed to bring in hazardous items, food/beverages, and to use all types of oils, underwater glasses (swimming goggles are allowed), and toys.
- Follow the instructions of the supervisors for safety reasons.
- Use a bicycle/bus/train to get to a swimming pool.
